With the
end of the year and beginning of another, there comes a sense of peace. As if
all of your worries from the year before magically go away with the Christmas
decorations at the end of the year. Then there comes the reality check. I was
in Walmart the other day and still thinking I had nothing to worry about yet
and then I walked past a Valentine’s Day card display. That’s all it took for
it to hit me. Valentine’s will be here before I know it which means I need to
get gifts and cards for TJ and, of course, Carson. Tax season is just around
the corner once w-2’s and 1098-T’s are received, interviews start soon for
summer internships, and the new semester is somehow only a week away! Ignorance
is truly bliss; I was not very appreciative of my worry filled reality check
for giving my Christmas break a miniature panic attack in the middle of
Walmart.
Now as much
as I would like to pretend that I don’t have to be concerned about any of
this, I need to take care of it. How will I do this you ask? (I know you’re
dying to know) Drum roll please… TO-DO LISTS. Y’all have no idea how near and
dear to my heart to-do lists are. They make my world go round. Whether they’re
in my head, in my phone, or on paper, they get the job done.
Yes, you read that correctly, that says it feels like NEGATIVE 17 degrees.
If you’re
in NWA then this lovely snow day has done a nice job of putting off reality.
Or driving you crazy, I’ll let you choose. But before these roads clear and we
have to get back to the real world, get your cocoa or coffee in hand and write
that to-do list! I promise you’ll feel better. You can even write, “finish
to-do list” on your list and then check it off to get the momentum rolling, I
won’t tell anyone.
Happy snow day and stay safe and warm everyone!
